I have been around YFC my whole life, and knew this was the one job I didn't want when I "grew up." God was funny and brought me to Peoria, IL for an internship in Summer 2007. I graduated from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Broadcasting/ Electronic Media Production in May 2008. The internship after my junior year was loud and clear as I decided to join the YFC-Peoria team in June 2008. What a whirlwind it's been!
Other than Jesus, most influential... Easily my parents. It took going 12 hours away to really figure that out. They are two very different examples of Christ in my life. Also, Melissa Kline & Dave Ramseyer--two Campus Life leaders in my Jr. High & H.S. days--they are the two leaders I strive to be like in this ministry...
Hidden talents... I can do this thing with my arms--they kind of flail around & look like rubber...I guess you could say you wouldn't want to meet Jake & I in a dark alley...creepy...
Little-known fact about me... I have a fear of revolving doors...I'll go through them, but it takes me a couple deep breaths and a lot of working up to it...
Favorite books... Captivating, Authentic Beauty, the Shack is getting there (haven't finished yet:)...
Favorite Restaurant... Rossi's-a place in Minneapolis, & One World, Olive Garden, & Chili's also...
Favorite Childhood experience... Living in Jamaica for 4 months...or Little Mermaid...;)
Favorite Song...Too many . . . Here's one: "She's got a way about her"--Billy Joel.
