- I was born and raised in Huntington, IN in a large family, who I love, and experienced Campus Life firsthand all throughout high school. I graduated from Cedarville University in 2008 and moved to Peoria. I am currently a computer engineer at Caterpillar.
-
Favorite band: Journey
-
When its time to relax I love to play volleyball or sit on my butt and watch television.
-
Interesting tidbit: I love to sing along to most any song in a falsetto voice.
-
I invest in teens through Youth for Christ because I have seen it work and believe wholeheartedly in relational ministry. I love hanging out with high school kids, I believe this is what God has called me to do and He has definitely given me a passion for these kids.

- I am Joe. I do building maintenance at Limestone Community High School. I’ve been doing youth ministry at Faith Missionary Church for about seven years. I just started working with YFC a couple months ago. I’m also going to school to be a youth pastor, and more importantly I have a wife (Krissy) and three kids (Tara, Bodhi, and Luke). One of the questions for this bio is when it’s time to relax I…, yeah that’s funny. The main reason I am working with YFC is because I don’t think we can reach our communities for Christ if we are not united as the body of Christ. That and Ali has all the sweet games.

- I am the wife of Mike, and mother of Jessy(19) and Austin Dearing(16). I currently own and operate HopewoodGraphics.com. I also work full-time at Pleasant Valley Elementary School as a teacher's aide for a first grader with cerebral palsy. I sing on two worship teams at Faith Missionary Church and have been a Sunday School teacher there for about 5 years. I was one of the coordinators for IMPACT.
- Great place I visited ... the beach... any beach
- Book I really enjoyed ... hoping to read The Chair in January... heard it is very good from those who have read it!
- When it’s time to relax I … dream about the beach... or make plans on going to the beach... or maybe look at pictures of the beach....
- I invest in teens through Youth for Christ because … I remember how hard it was being a teen, and not having anyone around, that I thought cared about me. It's easy to start hanging out with the wrong crowd just because they are willing to hang out with you ... which means they probably don't have anyone investing time in them either. We are very fortunate and blessed to have YFC at Limestone because there is a very strong need for this ministry in this school.

- I grew up just north of P-town in Lacon, going to high school in the middle of a corn field, playing guitar and cruising in my Camaro… Truly a legend in my own mind! (Ha) I work at MultiAd in Peoria which is where I met my wonderful wife Cheryl. She is also a leader at Limestone CL. I have two step-children – Jessica 19 and Austin 16, and a goofy Chihuahua named Buddy. We live in Bartonville and are very active at Faith Missionary Church, where I am worship leader.
- Other than Jesus, most influential ... My parents were very positive role models of working hard and doing the right thing. I give credit to my wife and Pastor for being the Holy Spirit’s tools, leading me to salvation at 34 years old. I continue to be amazed at God’s blessings and His sense of humor.
- Little Known Fact … I love the Red Green Show, and have sung the O’ Canada for strangers in Mexico.
- Favorite book: The World is Flat, by Tom Freidman and Iacocca an Autobiography.
- Favorite Restaurant: The Weber Grill in Chicago.
- Favorite Childhood Memory: Christmas Eve at my grand-parents …With the fire place crackling, grandpa in a sweater smoking a pipe, turkey, presents, then going to candle lit church service in the snow.
- Favorite Song: Panama by Van Halen… long live the mullet!
- Favorite Hymn: It is Well with My Soul
- Favorite Verse: 1 Timothy 1:15-17 "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen."
