Sarah Salazar - Reachout Director
- I first got involved with YFC Summer of 2008 after graduating from Bradley University, when Jake Bland invited me to get involved. I quickly fell in love with the vision of YFC and the passion the staff had for high school students - loving on them and investing in them faithfully.
- Other Then Jesus, the most influential person in my life: My parents! I can't say enough awesome things Gabe and Shirley Salazar and how they love Jesus. Their encouragement, support and faithfulness to challenge me always rocks my world.
- Hidden Talents: I can do a variety of accents, such as Irish, Polish, Indian, French...
- Little-known fact about me: When I was 15 I was in the running to be the next Miss IL. It was horrible.
- Favorite Book(s): Well, the Bible's a pretty good read; Deep Unto Deep, Breaking Free, To Kill and Mockingbird, A Sense of Direction
- Favorite Restaurant: Sushi Po Po and One World
- Favorite Childhood Experience: Driving in the car with Dad, drinking coffee & talking about everything...oh wait, we still do that : )
- Favorite Song: There are too many, but some of my top favorites right now are: How He Loves (Kim Walker), A Skeleton of Something More (Sleeping At Last), King Without A Crown (Matisyahu), Eyes (Rogue Wave) and anything by Jars of Clay. Shameless plug: their new album Long Fall Back to Earth is good - go get it.
